Validation is now available on the platform!

For your convenience, we have added validation machines on the platform to help reduce congestion when boarding the train. Validate on the platform – it’s the better choice!

Duty to validate

By law and under the guidance of the Ministry of Transportation, it is mandatory to obtain an appropriate travel ticket in advance, validate it with the validation device on the platform or immediately upon entering the train, and verify that the validation is correct, or via the mobile app, before boarding the train.

The validation (payment) requirement in Israel was determined according to the Ministry of Transportation guidelines and applies to all types of Rav Kav cards, apps, and contracts. The passenger must validate the card/app on every trip regardless of the profile that entitles them to a discount on the trip or free travel, including senior citizens aged 75 and over.

When transferring from buses to the light rail, validation will be honored for multiple passengers using only one Rav Kav from the same contract.

Validation for multiple passengers will be possible on the mobile app and on the Rav Kav card at the validation devices in the station area or alternatively at the validation devices on the trains.

The Rav Kav card must be kept for inspection until leaving the station area.

With respect to all enforcement matters, Cfir acts in compliance with State regulations and in compliance with the law, which stipulates the obligation to purchase and validate tickets/cards.
