“One Way” — A new method of paying for public transportation

Dear Passengers,

Starting 1 August 2022, the new “One Way” payment method will come into effect for public transportation, including a number of benefits and attractive new monthly payment plans.

Under this system, as of 1 July 2002 the “Flexible 30” pass (travel in a selected region for 30 days) and “Unlimited Weekly Pass” will no longer be available for purchase.

Until the “One Way” method comes into effect (1 August 2022), passengers may pay for public transportation by purchasing the “Unlimited Monthly Pass” (available for purchase until 5 July 2022) or “Unlimited Daily Pass,” loading money onto their card (“accumulated value”), or paying for an individual ride.

In addition, passengers may pay by means of the public transportation apps.

Changes in Light Rail service – 22 June 2022 to 22 August 2022

Dear Passengers,

As part of the construction of the network of Light Rail lines, there will be work from Wednesday 22 June 2022 until Monday 22 August 2022 (23 Sivan to 25 Av, 5782) at the intersection of Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Street and Herzl Blvd.
This work is the second stage in creating a rail junction to connect the Red Line and Green Line.

For that reason, Cfir Light Rail will be providing partial service on the rail lines between Heil Ha-Avir Station and the Central Bus Station.
The following stations will be closed: Kiryat Moshe, He-Halutz, Denia Square, Yefeh Nof, and Mount Herzl.

As an alternative for the passengers' benefit on segments where the Light Rail will not be operating, bus service will be offered on bus lines 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, and 29, which will be extended as far as the Central Bus Station.
